The gloomy weather could not dampen our spirits as Solargy took over East Coast Park! Persistent rainfall and overcast skies throughout the day may have cast doubts over whether the planned outdoor BBQ at ECP was going to happen, but nimble thinking from the organizers saved the day as they quickly acquired a portable BBQ pit and fired it up under the pavilion to ensure that the company could have a well-earned BBQ party to refuel for the crucial end of year period. Against the backdrop of damp sand, crashing waves, and grey skies, the familiar scent of good ol’ fashioned satay and BBQ chicken wings enveloped everyone with the tantalising promise of delicious comfort food.
Outside, once the drizzle had let up, the more adventurous amongst us started up an intense match of beach volleyball. While our guys may not exactly be seasoned volleyball players, what they lacked in technique, they more than made up for in heart and enthusiasm. Cheers and whoops accompanied every point won while boisterous laughter followed every mishit ball. Indeed, everyone’s inner child was brought out as we jumped, spiked, and dived our way through the friendly game.
Despite the less-than-ideal weather, the event was a resounding success – reminding us that regardless of the external circumstances, it is the people beside us that truly matter. Here’s to reaching greater heights through increased camaraderie and teamwork as Solargy heads into the closing stretch of the year!
Last December, Solargy hosted a relaxed and enjoyable golf simulation event for our team after working hours. The evening was designed as a fun and stress-free way to unwind, enjoy each other’s company, and take part in some friendly competition.
The event took place at a golf simulation venue, where employees gathered to test their golf skills in a comfortable, indoor setting. With the festive season in full swing, the atmosphere was light-hearted and festive, with a variety of games and challenges set up for everyone to enjoy, whether they were seasoned golfers or complete beginners.
After a busy day, team members were treated to refreshments and snacks, providing the perfect energy boost for a few rounds of golf. The simulation allowed everyone to experience the thrill of playing courses without leaving the room. Teams and individuals competed in friendly matches, and even those who had never swung a golf club before had a chance to enjoy the game, thanks to the user-friendly setup.
The evening was filled with laughter, light-hearted banter, and some impressive shots. It was an excellent way for our team to bond, take a break from the daily grind, and celebrate the end of a productive year in a relaxed, enjoyable setting.

This November, our team participated in an exhilarating day of paintball and laser tag, bringing together colleagues from all departments for friendly competition and camaraderie. The event took place at a local facility, offering the perfect environment to engage in high-energy matches, strategize in teams, and unwind outside the usual office setting.
It began with safety briefings, followed by a variety of paintball and laser tag games designed to challenge both individual skills and team coordination. From intense capture-the-flag matches to carefully planned ambushes, everyone had a chance to showcase their tactical prowess and sharpen their communication skills in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
This activity was about more than just winning—it was about strengthening relationships, improving teamwork, and enjoying a refreshing break from the daily routine. The sound of laughter and excitement echoed throughout the day as teams bonded over shared experiences, celebrated their victories, and learned valuable lessons from the challenges faced.
