Social Activities

Every year, SolarGy organizes a Chinese New Year (CNY) lunch to celebrate with all the staff. This year, it was held at the Parkroyal Collection Pickering, where we enjoyed a delicious meal together. The venue provided a wonderful atmosphere, enhancing the festive spirit of the occasion. It was a delightful experience, filled with laughter, joy, and a sense of togetherness.
In addition to the sumptuous meal, the event featured traditional CNY decorations and activities, such as a lion dance performance and lucky draw prizes, making the celebration even more memorable. This annual gathering is not only a time to celebrate the new year but also an opportunity to appreciate our hardworking team and strengthen our bonds as a company.
We look forward to continuing this cherished tradition in the years to come, as it brings us closer together and fosters a strong sense of community within SolarGy.

Our planet is at a tipping point, from an environmental, economic and social perspective, and everyone must take action now. While the government, MNCs and the industries take the lead to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change, individuals should also do their part by reducing usage of electricity and water and cutting down wastages. Yet there are many other individuals who are not practising sustainability.
Supporters of sustainability can help by creating awareness at micro levels so that collectively it will have a significant effect. What better way to convey the message than through art?
As part of its sustainability drive, SolarGy has generously sponsored an art exhibition program displaying chinese ink paintings from amateurs. The exhibition has a wide display of art pieces painstakingly crated by the artists with titles such as Bottom Awareness, Chaos vs Calm, Blue Beginning, White Mountain, Wet Season, etc. These titles evoke the effects of climate change that the earth is facing. The name of this exhibition is aptly entitled “The Impermanence of Tradition” – like tradition, climate does not remain the same forever.
We hope more artists will create awareness of climate change through their art pieces.

SolarGy made donations to 365 Cancer Prevention Society. 365CPS, as it is called, is a non-profit organisation, whose mission is to serve the community through patient care services, detox exercise, financial and nutrition assistance, day activity centres and health talks. It is hope that the little donation will help to 365CPS to promote greater cancer awareness and healthy living lifestyles.

The Clean & Green Singapore (CGS) campaign was launched today by Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam. This campaign is held every year around November to promote public awareness and action in keeping our environment clean and green. The CGS campaign is a concerted national endeavour to inspire our people to actively care for and protect the environment as well as adopt an eco-friendly and socially gracious lifestyle.
One of the highlights at the CGS Carnival is the Green Economy Exhibit which showcases the variety of jobs and profile individuals that work in the Green sector. At the invitation of NEA, SolarGy has nominated one of their solar engineers to profile his work in PV systems design, project development, installation, operations, and maintenance of solar PV systems at the CGS Carnival.
We look forward to more engineers taking up careers in the green sector to fullfill Singapore’s target of 2 GW solar installations in the years to come.
